Ask anyone to draw a guitar, anyone; doesn't matter how old or young, or what gender, it also doesn't matter where he comes from. I'll bet everything that there are only two things that they will end up with, a scribble of an acoustic guitar, or an electric guitar that looks unmistakably like a Fender Stratocaster. Fender Electric guitars are indeed the most popular electric guitar in the planet; and that's not for nothing, man. Their line of electric guitars has each made a mark on the history of music. Man's history is pretty much surrounded with music and art, and Fender's have become part of it too.

Fender Electric Guitars are definitely one of those brands that you could say no too. Even the guitar legends prefer to use it over anything else. For me, there are only two guitars that would suit my preference, a Fender and a Gibson. But Fenders would always make it to the top of my list, through and through. Now, what is it with these guitars that everyone wants it? What are its features? What makes it so special that even legendary guitar players would give a fortune for it?

Basically, it's not all about the features. Not even the looks and the name of the brand. You know what makes it a cut above the rest? It's the tonal quality. And when you talk about tonal quality, each and every Fender Electric Guitars has their own tonal quality to brag about and has been used and abused by some of the greatest axmen of all time. For example, when it comes to the good old surf rock of the 50's as well as the Grunge rock of the late 80's and early 90's, the Fender Jaguar was the axe of choice. Its clean tone was perfect for that good old surf vibe and we you soup it up with distortion; it becomes the perfect weapon for grunge.

If you want to know other Fender Electric Guitars, here they are with some brief details:

1. Fender Telecaster - basically, this was the first commercially successful solid - body electric guitar and the third commercial guitar from Fender. The first one was the Esquire, a single pickup, solid - body guitar, then the Broadcaster that was discontinued due to copyright problems with Gretsch (which later would be owned by Fender) and then the Telecaster. A double single - coil pick up electric guitar which tone was the most sought after when it comes to the traditional blues, rock and roll and jazz.

2. Fender Stratocaster - the supposed to be improvement of the Telecaster but was made to be a different guitar as per suggested by customers. In most people's opinion, it is the perfect guitar. Usually set up with a three single coil pick up set up with the bridge pick up slanting to get that you unique tone. Jimi Hendrix used it, Stevie Ray Vaughn used it, Eric Clapton used it, John Mayer used it and the list goes on and on.

There are a lot more Fender Electric Guitars and them users but I can't put it all on one post. So that's it for now.

Once you have learned the basics of how to play the violin for beginners, which is about the positioning of you and the violin, it is time to start learning actually how to play it. You need to learn both bowing and fingering positions when it comes to the violin.

There are two different ways to get notes out of the violin and you will need to learn both to correctly learn how to play the violin for beginners. The first is playing by plucking the strings, which is known as pizzicato and will be written like this on your sheet of music. When it comes to plucking the strings, you should be careful not to do it with your fingernails and always use the pads of your fingers - usually your index and middle fingers.

Now it comes to learning to play with the bow. You will need to tighten the bow hair before you start but you should always ensure that you do not tighten it too much - too much tension leads to scratchy sounds. It will take some time to get a proper note when you first use the bow so be prepared to practice.

When you hold the bow, most of the pressure should be on your index finger, which sits on the top of the bow. You thumb and other fingers are used to stabilize it. Even your little finger will be needed to stabilize the bottom of the bow. You should place your thumb in the corner of the bow and keep your fingers light while using it.

When you start using the bow, you want to concentrate on the sound that you are getting out. The tone should be clear and this will take a lot of long movements to get the positioning of the bow right. You will need a little bit of pressure on the strings but try not to use too much - you will need to be the judge so that you get the sound that you have wanted.

Your left hand is in charge of determining the notes that you will be playing. This is one of the hardest parts of playing the violin because it can take time to learn exactly where you should be placing your fingers. Each finger width will determine the notes and you need to remember that there are sharps and flats (the black notes on the piano) that you will need to think about too.

You will need to apply some pressure to the strings so that you definitely get the right note and you should use the pad of your fingertips again. Curve your hand to make it easier to only catch the strings that you want, rather than the other strings around it.

These are just the basics on how to play the violin for beginners - the more that you play, the more you will need to learn. These are the hardest things that you will learn so you will need to ensure that these are perfect before moving onto something else.

Since hip hop music is such a youthful form of music, there has always been speculation about how it affects the youth of our country. So many people write so many things and talk so much about the hip hop culture. Often, it is the negative that is highlighted; the "ill-effects" are mentioned. But it all isn't as bad as it looks. I am very impressed with motivational rapper Marcus Parker's words when he explained that rap music is about everything that happens out in the streets. It portrays the life outside one's comfort zone.

The streets are no heavens. It is the hard life; the rough life and many a times the life we are not accustomed with. Most of the artists who rise to fame come from such modest backgrounds. Many of the artists face prison-time and indulge in abuses because they aren't from the well-kept, well-educated and 'fortunate' backgrounds like all those of reading this article. Yes, it is a fact that most of the rappers still live the hard life. In fact, we can understand this from the very origin of this genre; it stemmed from ghetto and gang communities of youngsters in the troubled streets of Africa, in the 1980s. Rap lyrics have content derived from people who face these circumstances and the things that are important to them. These themes may, hence, seem inappropriate to the sophisticated mind. But when you analyze this music from the writer's point of view and the listener's perception you will understand the 'connection'.

The connection between a rapper and his fan is not just the instrumental and the rhythm; but also the experience and feeling. It is the emotion that creates the strong bond and the fan-following. When a rapper raps about sexuality, it is perhaps something that the youngster can understand. Certainly the explicit content isn't the best flavor but we must wake up to the fact that physicality is an integral part of our social being. Beside, trying to apprehend what your son or daughter appreciates will help you connect with them better. There are also songs that I like although they may not represent me as a person. I like hip hop rap songs for their beats; I may not agree with the lyric but I can certainly enjoy the music.

Further exploring the genre will introduce you to various forms of music that the industry offers. There is Jazz-rap and Conscious Hip Hop music and many other forms which will uplift the spirit and inspire far beyond. Even Underground hip-hop is finding a greater audience with platforms offered by the World Wide Web today. So, why should we be intimidated or apprehensive? Music does inspire, and when it does not; it merely entertains. Negative does not influence as strongly as the positive.

As adults, it is important to be aware of what our children are going through as well as give them the space to explore their worlds. We have all passed through that phase and grown to be who we are. In the end, a healthy upbringing will always overpower any superficial influence. Let the music play because it is only music and not an instruction for life!

Singing your own songs is more difficult than performing covers for some very good reasons:

1. The vocal is the melody and words and in essence is the song.
2. Your creation is sometimes not yet definitive melodically or lyrically. 3. You haven't decided completely how to approach the vocal 4. There is no vocal reference like a song that has stylistic techniques, after all, it's your original. 5. You may not know how to execute what you have in mind.
